CURRENT PROJECTS
Panorama Hills Community Centre Expansion, Calgary, AB
The Northstar Residents Association (NSRA) manages and operates the Panorama Hills Community Centre (PHCC) and its attached amenities. The PHCC is a 6 acre private park for the exclusive use of the members of the Northstar Residents Association. The park features a water spray park, tennis courts, basketball courts, children's playground, picnic areas, pathways and gardens. Year round indoor and outdoor programs, such as ... are run all year long for people of all ages. To better service their members the NSRA is expanding the PHCC to create more usable and multi-functional spaces for members to congregate, host events, attend programs and connect with other members of the community.
The NSRA engaged Lawson Projects in early 2021 to manage the expansion and modernization of the PHCC. Based on feedback from the PHCC members, the proposed design is a 1207 m2 (13,000 sq. ft.) building featuring a banquet hall that holds up to 125 people, new program areas, a members lounge and an outdoor patio area. Construction is scheduled to begin Q2 2022.

78 Connaught Hotel, Jasper, AB
After the successful completion of the fire restoration and upgrade of Pursuit’s Mount Royal Hotel in Banff, Lawson Projects has again been retained by Pursuit to manage the design and construction of a new 88-suite hotel in Jasper. The project is currently referred to as 78 Connaught and will be located adjacent to and connected via an enclosed skybridge to the existing Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre. The new 2- and 3-storey buildings will also be interconnected via a 2nd-floor enclosed bridge.
The enclosed events pavilion and seasonal tent pad will serve as a valuable function space for weddings and receptions. Of the 88 rooms, 80 will have kitchenettes for guests who prefer to cook for themselves, while the Sawridge Inn will continue to provide in-house dining service to all guests and visitors to the new hotel.
Opening of the new hotel is scheduled for late spring 2022.
