Alta Genetics, Conrich, AB

​Facilities Expansion – Processing Addition – Completed in 2006, the project consisted of the design and construction of a 300 m2 (3,230 sq. ft.) processing facility expansion to existing operations in Conrich.  With the success of this project, Lawson Projects was engaged to provide additional Project Management services to Alta Genetics.

Balzac Boardroom Upgrade – Conversion of an old storage space into a professional 185 m2 (2,000 sq. ft.) boardroom, expanded washrooms and a kitchenette. The construction phase started with the demolition of the existing facilities in early January 2008 and the project was completed at the end of March.

​Balzac Head Office Facilities Expansion – Lighting and HVAC upgrades were completed at the end of 2008 and the enclosure of the shipping/receiving area was completed in 2009.

Ply Gem, Calgary, AB

Ply Gem was formally known as Gienow.

New Manufacturing Plant – Located in S.E. Calgary, the project included developing a window and door manufacturing plant, as well as administrative offices and showroom within an existing 34,370 m2 (370,000 sq ft) warehouse. This project transformed the former ALCB warehouse into a cost efficient international manufacturing plant. Four separate and functioning manufacturing plants were consolidated within the renovated facility.

Evans Consoles, Calgary, AB

A new 25,200 m2 (217,000 sq ft) office block and manufacturing facility for custom console and specialty control room type furniture. Lawson Projects was engaged by Evans Consoles, the single-use tenant for this facility, to manage the tenant requirements for this built-to-suit development project.

GE Harris Energy Control Systems, Calgary, AB

A new 21,100 m2 (130,000 sq ft) office block and manufacturing facility of printed circuit boards for power management and distribution equipment. The project for the tenant and client, GE Harris Energy Control Systems, complied with the Canadian Building Incentive Program (CBIP) requirements for energy performance, qualifying a grant as a result of the enhanced annual energy savings.

Spartan Controls, Calgary, AB

A new 9,750 m2 (105,000 sq ft) office block and manufacturing facility to relocate this major designer and manufacturer of specialty valves and valve control consoles. Lawson Projects was engaged by Spartan Controls, the single-use tenant for this facility, to manage the tenant requirements for this built-to-suit development project.

Synsorb Biotech Inc., Calgary, AB

Located in NE Calgary, the project included office renovations and new plant construction. The project was built to the rigorous ‘clean-room’ standards of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
