Valhalla View Condo Fire Reconstruction, Calgary, AB

40 units of a condo complex suffered a multi-million dollar fire loss in December 2019.  Lawson Projects is providing professional services to the condo corporation on the 40-unit reconstruction effort.  Work is scheduled to be completed and the building returned to full occupancy by mid-2021.

River Run 1, Calgary, AB

Lawson Projects was approached and retained by the River Run 1 Condominium Board of Directors in 2015 to lead the required envelope repairs.  After the successful completion of this project, River Run 1 has retained Lawson Projects to be the Project Manager for several other projects including repairs to the doors and decks, re-roofing and landscaping.

McCall Lake Golf Course, Calgary, AB

The City of Calgary retained Lawson Projects to manage a two phase renovation to the McCall Lake Golf Course.  

Phase 1 was renovating the Golf Course which occurred between the spring of 2018 and spring of 2019.  This project involved new and resurfaced greens and tee boxes; new bunkers; revisions to the fairways and storm ponds to improve drainage and flood resilience; cart path replacement; and overall landscaping.

Phase two of the project entailed a building re-clad for the clubhouse, maintenance building, pump house and driving range.  These renovations took place between winter of 2018 and spring of 2019.

Ramsay Heights Housing Cooperative, Calgary, AB

Lawson Projects was retained as Project Managers in 2019 by Ramsay Heights Housing Cooperative to lead their retaining wall and parking lot repairs. 

This project was completed in the Spring 2020.

Canyon Creek Heights Condominiums, Calgary, AB

The Canyon Creek Heights Condominium Board and Simco Management hired Lawson Projects to manage the interior restorations of the condominiums that were damaged due to water infiltration.  Canyon Creek Heights is a complex with 14 buildings and 180 units.  61 of the units reported damage and were repaired as part of this project. Damage ranged from small repairs to the walls and ceilings to full abatement of the unit to remove asbestos and mold.  This project was completed in the Fall of 2019.

Confederation Park Golf Course, Calgary, AB

Lawson Projects was engaged by the City of Calgary to manage the re-design and renovation of the 9th hole fairway and green in Confederation Park Golf Course.  To address the drainage issues the 9th hole fairway was raised, a new green was constructed and a new pond was introduced.

Chelsea Terrace, Calgary, AB

Replacement of the building envelope on the 30-year-old, four-storey, 34-unit residential condominium. Work involved the investigation and analysis of the building envelope conditions, due to water infiltration. This resulted in detailed repair of the building’s sheathing and studs, and complete replacement of the siding and corroded balcony railings.

City of Calgary Fire Stations #1 and #6, AB

Fire Station #1

Lawson Projects represented the City of Calgary and managed the Plaza upgrades for Fire Station #1 and continues to represent the City with the ongoing restoration to Fire Station #6, which is a historical building.  Lawson Projects was also the project managers for the City of Calgary's Fire Station #07, which involved the deconstruction of the current building and construction of the new station.

Nat Christie Centre, Calgary, AB

Lawson Projects managed the specialized restoration of the Nat Christie Centre, the historical sandstone building and former train station in Calgary’s Beltline Community, occupied by Alberta Ballet (formerly Calgary City Ballet).

Lawson Projects was retained in 2010 to provide project management leadership on a series of interior and exterior building upgrades, including building envelope repair and structural restoration of concrete balconies and railings.
