UFA contracted Lawson Projects to assist with the completion of their new Red Deer Regional Farm Store. Lawson's services were expanded to include a Professional Services Building in Red Deer and a new Regional Farm Store in Camrose. Lawson Projects completed the Regional Centre in Grande Prairie and the combined Stettler Farm & Ranch Store and Cardlock facility. We also assisted with completion of a Farm Store Condition Review and capital upgrades to extend the life cycle of some of UFA’s facilities. All facilities were completed to meet scheduled store opening dates and within the approved budgets.
Scotia Centre Mall, Saskatoon, AB
Engaged by Dream (formerly Dundee), Lawson Projects successfully managed the renovation of the food court and retail common areas of the Scotia Centre Mall, servicing the Dream and Potash Corp’s Saskatoon office towers. Retail and office operations, with related occupancy requirements, were maintained throughout the renovation work.
Seven Oaks Mall Tenant Remodeling, Abbotsford, BC
Brentwood Shopping Mall Redevelopment, Calgary, AB
Lawson Projects represented three groups (Patriot Equities, Matco Developments and Torode Realty) that had acquired the shopping centre and planned redevelopment due to the facility’s age and condition. Portions of the Mall were demolished to improve traffic flow and other areas were expanded to accommodate the major tenants. A new building was also constructed and the entire shopping centre was modernized.
Londonderry Mall, Edmonton, AB
When Eatons Department Store vacated the Londonderry Mall in Edmonton, Lawson Projects was engaged to remodel the 7,430 m2 (80,000 sq ft) tenancy to accommodate a new Save-on Foods supermarket and various other national tenants. The project included removal of existing pre-cast panels and replacing with curtain-wall. Work was completed while maintaining full operational functions of this major regional shopping centre.
Yellow Door Bistro, Hotel Arts, Calgary, AB
Lawson Projects managed the conversion of the previously closed restaurant facilities into the award-winning Yellow Door Bistro for Hotel Arts; a popular boutique hotel in Calgary. The project scope of work included: washroom upgrades; new interior finishes throughout, including floor refinishing, wall removals and reconstruction and window replacement; new FFE with modern communication system of wifi users and new food and beverage prep areas and kitchen equipment layout. The project commenced in early 2012. Occupancy was obtained at the end of January 2013 and the work was successfully completed in March 2013
